Joshua's First Birthday

Joshua's 1st Birthday was on Thursday March 5, 2009. It's crazy that he is now 1. He has been walking for about a month and a half. He says mama and uhoh. He loves his brothers and mom, but especially his daddy! For his birthday, we had Aunt Emily and Aunt Amy come over from Cedar City. Uncle John, Aunt Lindsay and Joseph, and the Borrowmans were all there to celebrate his birthday. Grandma and Grandpa Humphries came the Sunday before because Aunt Kristi was going to have her twins and they had to be there to help with that.

Joshua also loves phones and remotes. He will get a phone and put it to his ear like he is talking on it. He also loves to hang out his tongue. He waves goodbye and points to things he wants. He is doing good being weaned from mom. He likes his bottle though, so we might be trading one battle for another. We love our Joshua so much! He is so much fun and just as crazy as his brothers.

Baby in a Box

One night I was sitting in my bedroom in the rocking chair and along comes Joshua. He loves to crawl on boxes so of course he climbs on top the box an falls in. He was our cute little bug in a box.

He was pretty proud of himself.

Merry Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas. We spent the 9 days in Enterprise. We were going to go up to Pleasant Grove on Christmas Eve, but the weather was too bad. Melissa and Mike showed up on the door step on Christmas Eve. I was the only one that knew that they were coming so it was a great surprise for everyone!

As an early Christmas present we got parakeets for the kids. Davin named them Saphera and Nick. They are lots of fun! The kids love them!

The kids performed the nativity story as Grandpa read it. Melissa and Emily made great impromptu costumes. It was lots of fun. Then we got pj's from Grandma and Grandpa and opened their present from them. They gave the grand kids a picture of them that says always remember that we love you and then they also gave each family a book that had pictures and their story in it. It was awesome!

After the nativity program each child got to decorate a special cookie for Santa. I think that there was more eating of the decorating treats than there was of decorating cookies but it was lots of fun!

Even though we were away from home Santa still found us. Joshua wasn't quite sure what was going on but once the presents were unwrapped he loved playing with the toys.

Bridger got a big boy bike and cowboy boots which he loved! James got a airplane track which was a big hit with all the kids and Davin finally got hi Heeley Shoes and an "adult camera" as he puts it. He was our picture taker and he took over 200 pictures on Christmas day alone. Needless to say he ran out of juice in his batteries.
